Where to watch the “rocket’s red glare” this Independence Day

For as long as I can remember, the July 4th holidays have always been a source of excitement and special memories for my family and me. My brother and I would anxiously anticipate dusk, when our family would all pile into the car with our collection of Independence Day gear and drive to our local park. As a kid I loved the big show of colorful and loud explosions, but what made this holiday extra special was finding the perfect spot in the park (or sometimes on the roof of our car) for our family to share a blanket and catching fireflies while we waited for the show to start.

Featured Local Celebration

A popular local Independence Day celebration worth bringing your friends and family to is the Family 4th presented by the cities of North Richland Hills, Haltom City, Richland Hills, Watauga and the Northeast Tarrant Chamber of Commerce.

This Thursday, festivities begin at 5:00 p.m. with a wide variety of fun activities and entertainment for the entire family, from carnival rides to community activities and plenty of food & drinks. Come early, get a great parking spot, enjoy the family entertainment, and then delight in the dazzling and patriotic pyrotechnics at approximately 9:25pm.
